Ms. Jessica Coner
Jessica Coner grew up exploring the beautiful Eastern Shore of Maryland. Surrounded and supported by family, her love and passion for all things creative, artistic and rooted in nature grew. Jessica’s thirst to experience the wider world led her to complete her B.A. at the Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA. Her path back to the Eastern Shore would wind through many places including Alaskan jobs and living in Israel. As she traveled, there was always a camera around her neck, a sketchbook in her pack and a flower tucked in her hair. Along the way, Jessica has been a college newspaper photographer, floral designer, landscape designer and maintainer, mural painter, RiverArts Clay Studio manager and pottery teacher. All of this would lead to her joining the staff of Gunston in 2016, where she is thrilled to be a teacher of pottery, yearbook and photography.
