Sailors traveled to Tred Avon Yacht Club in Oxford last weekend for the MIDISA Tier 2 championships. With 17 competing teams in the championship, the largest fleet of competitors they’ve sailed against all season, Gunston sailors came out on top; placing second over all! A special tip of the hat to Tommy McGeady, Eli Moore, Robbie Wilmer, Matthew Periconi, and Lilah Paddy who competed in the competition. Of course, a big thank you to all the other sailors who came out to watch the races, talk strategy with their teammates, and assist in deciding tactics that led to such an outcome. The team has had a strong season this spring and the coaches couldn’t be prouder of the team. They have performed with determination, sportsmanship, and the mindset to learn from every experience they’ve had along the way. We love these sailors to no end.

The Crisfield Triathlon featured some outstanding results for the Gunston Herons! It was a beautiful day to swim, bike, and run with the Heron Triathletes leading the charge!
