Around the Nest: 09/02/22 - Cross Country Boys Bring Home First Place in Roar on the Shore Invitational

CROSS COUNTRY

Gunston Cross Country competed in the Roar on the Shore invitational hosted by Salisbury School on Monday, August 29. With several athletes competing in their first-ever Cross Country race, the Boys’ team finished in first place with standout performances from Colin Hallmark ’24 and Aidan Trautman ’23 who finished first and second overall. Also running for the boys were Zach Steinberg ’25 (5th), Oliver White ’23 (7th), Sam Mielke ’25 (8th), Lucas Watkins ’26 (9th), and Ben Cook ’24 (11th). The girls team finished as runners-up at the meet with Allie Fitzgerald ’24 and Zoe Buzzeli ’24 finishing in second and third. Also running were Louise Mulock ’25 (8th), and Taylor Rainer ’24 (13th).
