Herons Celebrate Spring 2023 Athletic Season

Student athletes, their families, and coaches gathered in the Field House to celebrate their achievements at the Spring Sports Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, May 16. The evening began with remarks from Head of School John Lewis, who invited former Gunston teacher and coach Ned Southworth to speak on the athletic accomplishments of this year’s Hall of Fame inductee, Joe Cusimano ’12. • The team qualified for and competed in the Mid-Atlantic Scholastic Sailing Association Silver Championship. Gunston has not competed in this event in more than a decade.
