The Gunston School is delighted to share that we have appointed Ms. Erin De Falco as our new Associate Director of Athletics and School Transportation Coordinator. Ms. De Falco is currently the Assistant Athletic Director at the Severn School, where she manages a wide array of athletic leadership duties, including athletic operations, IAAM/MIAA scheduling, social media, and transportation. She has a proven track record of recruiting high level coaching talent, and comes to us from a school with an extensive waterfront athletics program, one that has won national championships.
Ms. De Falco earned her B.A. in Communications from Salisbury University, where she was a decorated member of their nationally-ranked women’s lacrosse team, including Division III All-American, All-Conference, and All-Region honors. She then earned a Masters degree in Sports Industry Management from Georgetown University. During her career at Severn, she has coached lacrosse, field hockey, soccer, and basketball, and she helped to launch and advise their “Admiral TV Club”, which offers livestream video and commentary for team games.
“Gunston has the largest navy of any school in Maryland, so the Associate Athletic Director role is substantial in scope. Thus, we’re excited to welcome someone with Ms. De Falco’s experience in athletics and waterfront operations, as well as her demonstrated organizational, human resource, technological and strategic planning skills,” said Head of School John Lewis. Ms. De Falco will begin her tenure at Gunston in July.
