The Gunston School is pleased to announce Senior Zacharia (Zach) Mozher of Middletown, Del. has been selected as a Finalist in the 68th annual National Merit® Scholarship Program, making him a part of the top 15,000 high school students selected out of 1.5 million qualified applicants. National Merit Finalists represent less than one percent of high school seniors in the United States and include the highest-scoring entrants in each state. The application process is rigorous, requiring an outstanding academic record as well as a detailed record of school and community engagement in various activities, demonstrated leadership abilities, endorsements and recommendations by a high school official, an essay, and near perfect SAT or ACT scores. Zach has been accepted to Princeton University as part of their Early Action program, but has yet to decide where he will attend college next year, pending additional decisions.
