Gunston’s Mid-Shore College Fair, a cornerstone of our personalized college guidance program, was a phenomenal success! Last night’s event attracted record participation from students, parents, and college representatives alike, with 160 students and their families representing 13 different high schools. This free community event had 68 institutions in attendance and offered two Financial Planning Sessions.

The colleges and universities represented a full spectrum of sizes, missions, and geographic locations to the Mid-Shore. Students benefitted from direct access to admissions professionals from schools like the University of Pittsburgh, Drexel University, Loyola University Maryland, and The University of Alabama, among others. 

“College representatives recorded a total of 1,059 scans [connections with students and families] in just two hours!” said Gunston’s Co-Director of College Guidance Emily Coffey. “Many Reps called it the ‘best fair they have attended this fall,’ and were very pleased by the hospitality and the quality of interactions they had.” Thank you to the Mid-Shore Community Foundation, who sponsored this event!
