CWS had a very successful trip in Washington DC this week. Students took a tour of the Capitol with a staffer from Senator Ben Cardin's office. They then hopped on the Senate subway and had lunch in the Senate cafeteria with two more of Cardin's staff. The group chatted about what it means to work for a Senator and learned all about what Cardin is doing for the Bay. Then the group left The Hill and crossed the Potomac into Arlington to visit with the policy team Trout Unlimited. The folks at TU shared all about how interest groups influence our representatives.
