Did you know that Gunston installed a living shoreline along Gunston's waterfront in 2013? Ms. Beck's classes have been monitoring the success of the restoration since then. In the 9th year of the data set, students are finding increasing biodiversity and established upland species (honey locust trees), on the downside, students also noted that phragmites and mile-a-minute vine have been found at the site.
