On Wednesday, six Gunston students and two faculty flew to Seattle to participate in the annual NAIS Student Diversity Leadership Conference. Over the three days, Annie Bamford, Zaria Dalton, Neva Lawrence, Rion McCluskey, Isabella Santoboni, and Henry Shifrin participated in workshops about leadership and identity development with over a thousand other high school leaders from around the globe. Gunston’s Athletic Director, Jon Mellinger, and Gunston’s Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Global Programs, David Miller, also participated in workshops related to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Strategic Planning, Capacity Building, and more. Isabella Santoboni, a Gunston senior, added, “We are excited to bring back what we’ve learned to Gunston!”
