The Gunston School is pleased to welcome 51 students to the National Honor Society. Joined by their families, students assembled in Gunston’s Field House for the ceremony.

Newly inducted seniors include Nick Ceruolo, Thomas de los Reyes, Olivia Faff, Catherine Hansen, Garrett Lang, Calla McCluskey, Bates Nittle, Grace Anne Phillips, Miranda Pope, Nathan Porter, Aaron Sanderson, MacKenzie Smith, William Stuart, Finnegan Theeke, Brielle Tyler, Autumn Watson, and Linze (Alfred) Zhao.
 
Current NHS officers include the following seniors: President Lane Parkhurst, Vice President Kelby Booth, Secretary Olivia Amygdalos, Service Coordinator Julia Buchanan, Parliamentarian Angelina Lin and Communications Zack Adams.
 
This year’s guest speaker was ​​Judith Warfield Price, president of the Centreville Rotary Club who is also a Paul Harris Fellow for her support of the international Rotary Foundation. A native of the Eastern Shore, Judy graduated from Saints Peter & Paul High School in Easton, received her B.A in political science from Western Maryland (now McDaniel) College, and, subsequently, her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Maryland. In addition to various roles throughout her career, she also served as the Executive Director of the Waterfowl Festival, an Eastern Shore non-profit benefiting wildlife conservation. She served in that position from the Festival’s 26th year through its 43rd year and had the honor of being chosen to serve on the panel of judges for the 2009 Federal Duck Stamp Contest. Price recently retired from The Aspen Institute, Inc., where she has worked since 2014. Mrs. Price spoke to the students about being open to taking appropriate professional risks and adapting to change; Looking beyond ourselves and responding to the needs of others locally, nationally, and globally; and, enjoying the journey along the way.
 
Each fall, membership in NHS is offered to those students who meet the required standards put forth by the national office in four areas of evaluation: scholarship, leadership, service, and character. For the scholarship criterion, a student must have a cumulative grade point average of 88 (B+) or higher. Students who meet this criterion are invited to submit a comprehensive resume that outlines their activities, achievements, leadership, and service. To evaluate a candidate on the national criterion of character, a student’s school records are reviewed, and each candidate selects four members of the faculty to provide their professional reflections on the candidate’s citizenship, leadership, activities, and personal conduct.
 

National Honor Society Bios

Quinn Baughman

A dedicated athlete, Quinn has played basketball and soccer for Gunston and outside of school, Quinn has played baseball. Quinn’s participation in school clubs includes Yearbook, Chess Club, Film Club, and Christian Athletes. In addition, Quinn has served Gunston as an admission ambassador and outside of school, Quin has worked during the summers as a carnival game manager.

Michael Billings

Michael has participated in numerous co-curricular activities at Gunston including Business & Investment Club, Christian Athletes, Film & Screen Club, Chess Club, and Model UN. Michael has been an important member of JV Soccer for three years and he has served the greater community as a volunteer during Breast Awareness Month with the Clark Breast Center in Easton, Maryland.

Zoe Buzzelli

Zoe is currently enrolled as a student in the Chesapeake Watershed Semester. Zoe has been a member of Model UN, Gunston Initiates Volunteer Efforts, Academic Team, Yearbook, and Student Government where she has been President of her 10th and 11th grade classes. Zoe’s athletics include Varsity Sailing, Varsity Volleyball, Varsity Basketball, Varsity Triathlon, and Varsity Cross Country. Zoe has served as Captain in Volleyball, Triathlon, and Cross Country. In grade 10, Zoe earned the Coach’s Award in Volleyball and the MVP award in Triathlon. In addition, Zoe swims competitively with the Talbot County YMCA and formerly with the Naval Academy Aquatic Club. Zoe has served Gunston as a College Admission Ambassador and Admissions Ambassador. She has also participated in the Student Leadership Institute. Outside of school, Zoe has volunteered as a swim coach and during the pandemic she created COVID Care Packages and Hand Sanitizers with Anne Arundel County Health Department.

Nick Ceruolo

Nick has been a member of Business & Investment Club and Technology Club where he is leading a project this year. Nick’s sports include sailing, pickleball, and tennis. Nick has volunteered at the Maryland State Archives digitizing colonial documents and he has led a number of excavations at Gunston’s on-site dump that was in use decades ago. He has also done archival work for Gunston’s Advancement Office. Nick has also volunteered with Goshen Farm Preservation society.

Ben Cook

Ben’s extracurricular participation includes Academic Team, Chess Club, Business & Investment Club, and Model UN. Ben has earned a Varsity Letter in both Cross Country and Tennis. Ben serves Gunston as an Admission Ambassador and outside of school, he has participated in the Easton Care Packs Program. In addition to his participation and service, Ben has worked as a Tennis Camp Counselor for Easton YMCA and as an employee for Capsize Restaurant in Oxford.

Turner Day

Turner has been an active member of a number of clubs including Model Un, Business & Investment, Academic Team, Technology, Math and Science & Engineering. Turner serves Gunston as an Admission Ambassador and New Student Orientation host. Turner's sports participation for Gunston has included Soccer and Crew, in which he received a Most Improved and Coach’s Award. Outside of school, he works for Evergreen Estates Community.

Tom De Los Reyes

Tom has been a member of the Academic Team, Math Club, Business & Investment Club, and Film Club. He has also participated in Varsity Crew. Tom volunteers with the Spa Creek Youth Brigade where he has served as President. He has also served with the Spa Creek Conservancy. During the pandemic, Tom made hospital masks at John’s Hopkins Hospital.

Liam Dickey

Liam is currently enrolled as a member of the Chesapeake Watershed Semester. His co- curricular activities include Technology Club, Model UN, Business & Investment Club and Academic Team. A three season Varsity rower, Liam is captain this year. He has also rowed outside of school with Annapolis Junior Rowing. Liam has volunteered with a medical outreach program in Costa Rica, with the SPCA in Annapolis, and as an Admission Ambassador for Gunston. In addition to his academics and cocurricular activities, Liam works in the restaurant business at Libbey’s and the Severn Inn.

Harrison Dunstan

Musician and performer, Harrison has participated in Open Mic Night and is a member of The Gunston Players. Harrison is also a member of Film Club and Christian Athletes. Outside of Gunston, Harrison volunteers at the Treasure Cove Thrift Store where all proceeds go to the St. Michael’s Community Center.

Olivia Faff

Olivia has been an active member of a number of clubs including Christian Athletes, Diversity Leaders, Gunston Initiates Volunteer Efforts, Business & Investment, and Mental Health Awareness Club. Olivia’s sports participation includes soccer, personal training, and crew. Outside of school, Olivia babysits and volunteers with the Waterfowl Festival, Talbot Humane Society, and the weekly food drive with St. Vincent De Paul. As a 9th grader, Olivia won a $2000.00 scholarship from Immerse Education for her essay about the Hippocratic Oath.

Allie Fitzgerald

Allie’s club participation includes Model UN, Business and Investment and Environmental Club. Allie serves as an Admission Ambassador. In Gunston’s Athletics program, Allie has been a member of Crew, Volleyball, Triathlon and Cross Country. Allie has worked outside of Gunston as a hostess at Libbey’s Coastal Kitchen.

Eddie Gillespie

Eddie’s club participation includes Christian Athletes, Film Club, and Yearbook. Eddie loves lacrosse and has participated year-round both as a Gunston varsity team member and with Brother Love and 302 Lacrosse Clubs. In addition, Eddie plays Varsity Soccer and Varsity Basketball for Gunston. Eddie has served Gunston as an Admission Ambassador and outside of school, he has volunteered with the Worton Community Center Backpack Program. In addition to his numerous extracurricular activities, Eddie has worked at the Chestertown River Yacht & Country Club and Gillespie & Son, Incorporated.

Trevor Green

Trevor’s co-curricular activities include participation in Yearbook, Model UN, and Academic Team where he traveled to Chicago in grade 10 for the national competition. Trevor is a baseball player with Talbot County where he has made the All Star Team and has played in Senior League State Tournament In the greater community, Trevor has served as a Junior Counselor at Oxford Kids Camp.

Colin Hallmark

Colin is currently enrolled as a member of the Chesapeake Watershed Semester. He has participated in Yearbook, Science & Engineering, Model UN, Business & Investment Club, and Academic Team. Colin is a rower, runner, and triathlete. Captain of the Triathlon Team, he was the Maryland State High School Triathlon Champion 2022 and in Cross Country he is captain, the top male runner for ESIAC, and was named MVP in 2021. In addition, Colin has sailed and played JV Basketball. Colin’s volunteerism has medical outreach in Costa Rica, TaeKwonDo assistant coach, Childcare worker, food bank volunteer, church musician, and Gunston Admission Ambassador. Outside of school, Colin swam with the Annapolis Swim Club and he was named AAU TaeKwonDo National Champion, four year member of the National Point Sparring Team, and two time Grand Champion. Colin also plays piano outside of school and has earned Silver and Gold Awards in the Golden Key Music Festival. Colin also works as a childcare giver and photography assistant.

Jessica Hammond

Jessica is currently enrolled as a member of the Chesapeake Watershed Semester. Her co-curricular activities include Gunston Initiates Volunteer Efforts, Student Diversity Leaders Club, Environmental/Outing Club, and Student Government where she has been class secretary for three years. In addition to being an Admission Ambassador at Gunston, Jessica has held leadership roles with Chesapeake Bay Foundation and the Upper Shore Youth Environmental Action Summit. She has served as a scientist assistant with Horn Point Laboratory, a Junior Naturalist with Pickering Creek, and a Junior Counselor with Oxford Kids Camp. She has also delivered food with Maryland Food Bank. Jessica is a Girl Scout and has earned the bronze and silver awards. Jessica plays varsity volleyball and varsity tennis. She was awarded MVP in volleyball and received All-Conference Honorable Mention in 2021. In addition to her many service and cocurricular activities, Jessica works as a nanny and in the restaurant business at Scossa in Easton and Capsize in Oxford.

Catherine Hansen

Catherine’s clubs are many and include Business & Investment, Math, Art, Science & Engineering, Language & Culture, and Yearbook. She has also been Class Secretary for three years. Catherine serves Gunston as an Admission Ambassador, International Student Host, College Admission Ambassador, Centreville Christmas Parade Volunteer, and Night of the Arts Host. Outside of school, Catherine has volunteered with the Dorchester Art Showcase, the Cambridge Ironman. An avid linguist, Catherine studies Latin, Chinese, German, and Japanese. Catherine is also a member of the National Junior Classical League where she has received honors for her success in world language, vocabulary, Minecraft, archery, art, building, and literature. Catherine rounds out her Gunston experience with her participation in athletics. She plays Varsity Tennis and is the co-captain of the Varsity Golf where she has received the ESIAC Honorable Mention Award and the Sportsmanship Award. In addition to her full academic and extracurricular schedule, Catherine works in Cambridge for the Yacht Club and Ricky’s Pub and Grub.

Caeden Harrison

Caeden’s club participation includes Film Club, Chess Club, Business & Investment Club, and Model UN. Caeden is a sailor and three-year member of the Varsity Sailing Team. He has also played soccer for Gunston. Outside of school, Caeden played baseball with the St. Michael’s League. Caden has a wide variety of community service activities including Waterfowl Festival Volunteer, St. Michael’s Watermen’s Appreciation Day booth attendant, Phillips Wharf Environmental Center tour guide and mentor, Londonderry Retirement Community volunteer, and YMCA Christmas Tree mover. Caeden also works outside of Gunston with the Miles River Yacht Club and aboard the fishing vessel Amity Leah.

Abbie Houseknecht

Abbie has been a member of Yearbook, Gunston Initiates Volunteer Efforts, and Mental Health Awareness. In Gunston’s Athletics program, Abbie has been a member of the JV Lacrosse, Varsity Sailing, and Varsity Field Hockey teams. Abbie has served as an Admission Ambassador and outside of school, she teaches Yoga and volunteers with the Run for Radcliffe and numerous programs with Sudlersville Middle School including Packages and Papers, Flag Football, and Thanksgiving Food Boxes. Abbie has also volunteered with Sudlersville Make a Difference Day. In addition to her co curricular and volunteer activities, Abbie also babysits in her neighborhood.

Samantha Jayne

Samantha remains active both in and outside of school. She is an Admission Ambassador and active member of Gunston Initiates Volunteer Efforts and Math Club where has served as President and Vice-President. Samantha also holds leadership positions with Kent County 4-H. An outstanding athlete, Samantha plays travel indoor hockey and she is a member of the Varsity Field Hockey Team. She has been named All Conference Player two times. A highly talented shooter and equestrian, Samantha has earned top shooting awards in States, Ruritan, and Youth Championship competitions and top honors with 4H. Samantha has served the greater community with Sudlersville Skeet Club, community food drives, beach and stream clean-ups, and as a Bible School leader. Samantha also works part-time for Ronald E. Jayne, CPA accounting office.

Sophia Kent

Sophia has been an active member of a number of clubs including the Christian Athletes Club, Math Club, Gunston Initiates Volunteer Efforts and the Environmental Club. Sophia’s sports participation for Gunston have included Varsity Basketball, Lacrosse and Field Hockey where she received the ESIAC Field Hockey Goalie award. Sophia also participates in Rec and Travel Field Hockey as well as indoor Lacrosse. In addition, Sophia has served Gunston as an admission ambassador and outside of school, Sophia volunteered helping Kent School prepare for the school year and with play day and 8th grade graduation set up. Sophia worked for Chesapeake Badfish Charters over the summer as First Mate.

Maren Kneeland

Maren’s extracurricular activities include participation with Academic Team, Literary Magazine, Mock Trial Club, and Model UN. Maren is also a member of the SGA Executive Council.Outside of Gunston, Maren is a member of Girl Scouts and of the US Naval Sea Cadet Corps where she has served as Petty Officer Second Class and Leading Petty Officer and she has received cadet honors. Maren also participated in the United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps Leadership Academy. Maren’s volunteer service includes assisting with school publications, participating with the USNSCC Wreaths Across America Program and serving as both an Admissions and College Ambassador. Maren is also a three-season Varsity rower. In addition to her community participation and service, Maren works outside of school at Target/Starbucks in Stevensville.

Lucas LaFleur

Lucas has participated in numerous co-curricular activities at Gunston including Christian Athletes, Film Club, Chess Club and Technology Club. Lucas has been involved with Fall and Spring Rowing, JV Soccer, and Varsity Lacrosse for Gunston and with Brotherly Love Lacrosse Club. Outside of school, he has volunteered with the Worton Community Center Backpack Program. Lucas also works for Great Oak and Occasions Catering.

Garrett Lang

Garrett’s co-curricular activities include participation in the Business and Investment Club. Garrett is also a member of the Varsity Tennis Team where he was the #1 seed for Gunston and he was selected to the Boys All Conference Team. Garrett volunteered as a STEM Camp Counselor this past summer in St. Michaels. Garrett is an active member of Boy Scouts. Outside of school, Garrett works as a Chef and Food Runner for Doc’s Sunset Grill.

Ben Lutz

Ben has been a member of Tech Club, Chess Club, and Science & Engineering Club. Ben enjoys technology and has completed a course in Artificial Intelligence through Adava University He is also a three season rower. Outside of school, Ben is a member of Boy Scouts where he has attained the highest honor of being selected for the Order of the Arrow. Ben has participated in numerous projects through the Scouts including Northern Tier, which is a high adventure canoeing excursion. In addition, Ben has his Scuba Certification. Ben has served the greater community through his participation in Boy Scouts and he has completed two youth mission trips. He also assists with audio management at his church.

Madison Lutz

Madi’s club participation includes Science and Engineering, Gunston Initiates Volunteer Efforts, Student Diversity Leaders and Yearbook. In Gunston’s Athletics Program, Madi has been a member of Recreational Tennis, the Volleyball team and served as Team Manager for Girls Varsity Lacrosse and Boys Junior Varsity Basketball. Outside of school, she has volunteered for Sudlersville Senior Center and the Camden-Wyoming Rotary Club. Madi also works as a pet sitter.

Calla McCluskey

Calla enrolled at Gunston following her participation in the Chesapeake Watershed Semester in grade 11. Calla has participated in the Art Curators Club, Film Club, Mental Health Awareness Club, and the Gender Spectrum Alliance. Outside of Gunston she has been active in theatre and has volunteered with Church Hill Theatre, the Corsica River Conservancy, and Adkins Arboretum. She also played saxophone for the orchestra at her former high school. A three season athlete, Calla has participated in soccer, lacrosse, and cheerleading. Calla also works outside of school at Doc’s in Centreville.

Josie Merton

Josie is a member of the Gunston Player’s and has participated in theater and band outside of school. Her co-curricular activities include Effectrix, Gunston Initiates Volunteer Efforts, Mock Trial and the Gender Spectrum Alliance. Josie’s sports participation includes Pickleball and Volleyball. She volunteers her time as a Camp Intern with the Garfield Playmakers in Chestertown.

Caitlin Myers

Caitlyn is currently enrolled in the Chesapeake Watershed Semester. Her cocurricular activities include Academic Team, Mock Trail, Yeartook, Model UN, and Gunston Initiates Volunteer Efforts. Caitlin has also been a class representative in the Student Government Association. Caitlin has played Varsity Field Hockey, Basketball, Lacrosse and Tennis. Accolades that she has received include ESIAC All Conference for tennis and ESIAC Honorable Mention Honorable Mention on the National Spanish Exam. Caitlin has volunteered with the Gunston Play and the Renaissance Festival, and she is a Gunston Admission Ambassador.

Bates Nittle

Bates has been a member of Outing Club, Gunston Initiates Volunteer Efforts, Christian Athletes, Chess Club, Film Club, and Business & Investment Club. He has volunteered with Cover Your Chin for Charity, For All Seasons, and he has been a drummer for Christ Church in Easton. Bates is a member of a band that plays at various venues and he recently earned a guitar music certificat from Berklee College of Music. Bates has also served as an Admission Ambassador for Gunston. Bates plays Varsity soccer and futsal for Gunston. Bates works outside of school as a musician, photographer’s assistant, office worker, and construction worker.

Tilghman Overton

Tilghman is currently enrolled in the Chesapeake Watershed Semester. His co-curricular activities include Technology Club, Academic Team and Gunston Initiates Volunteer Efforts. Tilghman serves as Gunston Admissions Ambassador and outside of school, he has coached with Special Olympics. Tilghman swims and plays varsity tennis and crew. Tilghman earned recognition through The College Board’s National Rural and Small Town program. Outside of school, Tilghman also works as a Lifeguard for Kent County Parks & Recreation.

Lilah Paddy

Lilah has participated in the Environmental Club and Gunston Initiates Volunteer Efforts. In Athletics she has been a member of Varsity Sailing, Varsity Lacrosse, and Cross Country. Lilah also dances outside of school. Lilah has served the greater community as a Girl Scout member, Girl Scout camp counselor, and volunteer for cemetery and beach clean-ups in Centreville. In addition to her co-curricular activities and service, Lilah has worked as a YMCA camp counselor and employee at 208 Talbot in St. Michaels.

Matthew Periconi

Matthew has been a member of the Business and Investment Club, Chess Club, Film Club and Environmental Club. Matthew serves Gunston as an Admission Ambassador and outside of school, he volunteers at the Waterfowl Festival. He has been a member of the student government and his athletics participation includes Soccer and Sailing, in which he received a Coach’s Award. Matthew has also worked the last three summers as a busser at Capsize Restaurant.

Grace Anne Phillips

Grace Anne has participated in Mock Trial and Model UN. She has also been a member of the field hockey, sailing, and triathlon teams. Grace has served the greater community as a tech leader in her church and volunteered with the Harry Potter Festival in Chestertown, the Pop Up Pantry in Tyler Heights and with Haven Ministries in Chester. Outside of school, Grace Anne works at Tasty Tuscan in Stevensville.

Miranda Pope

Miranda has played volleyball and lacrosse at Gunston. Outside of school, she has been an integral member of All-Star Cheerleading where she has been named MVP and Captain. Miranda’s community service includes volunteering at DC Central Kitchen and a battered women’s shelter. She has also volunteered as a line judge for volleyball, a babysitter, and a dog walker. In addition to her activities and service, Miranda has worked as an apprentice at Family Funeral Home and a hostess at the EastPort Yacht Club.

Kate Porter

Kate has been a member of the Gunston Players, Language & Culture Club, Yearbook, Academic Club, Science & Engineering Club, and Film Club. She has also participated in the Maryland Rocketry Red Glare program. Kate is a three-season varsity rower and has earned a coach’s award and the “Tough as Nails” award. Kate has served as an admission ambassador and student leader during orientation programming. Outside of school, Kate has volunteered with Overland Summers in Williamstown, MA and Shore Riverkeepers in Tunis Mills, MD.

Nathan Porter

Nathan’s co-curricular activities include participation in Science and Engineering and the Outing Club. Nathan is taking classes at Chesapeake Community College through dual enrollment. Outside of school, his activities include Lacrosse and volunteering with the Maryland State Police Toy Drive, Explorer’s Program and Security for the Polar Bear Plunge. Nathan works as a dock hand for Rolph’s Wharf Marina. Taylor Rainer Taylor has been a member of Mental Health Awareness Club, Yearbook, Gender Spectrum Alliance, and Effectrix. Taylor has also been part of The Gunston Players. Taylor’s athletics participation includes sailing, soccer, pickleball, and cross country. Outside of school, Taylor volunteers with Bright View Senior Living and she has also worked for this organization.

Joanna Riley

Joanna has participated in Academic Team, Math Club, Environmental Club, Student Diversity Leaders Club, Yearbook, and Gunston Initiates Volunteer Efforts. Her participation with Student Diversity Leaders has included facilitating both middle and high regional and national school conferences. Joanna also served as 10th grade Vice-President. In athletics, Joanna has been a member of the tennis, volleyball, and crew teams. Joanna is a Gunston Admission Ambassador and outside of school, Joanna works as a caregiver in Oxford.

Ava Runz

Ava is currently enrolled in the Chesapeake Watershed Semester. Her cocurricular activities include Model UN and NAIMUN, Business & Investment, Environmental Club, and Gunston Initiates Volunteer Efforts. Ava has been a member of SGA and served as treasurer of her ninth and tenth grade class. She also participated in the Student Leadership Institute.She has been a member of Varsity Field Hockey and Varsity Crew. Ava has volunteered with medical outreach in Costa Rica, the Waterfowl Festival in Easton, and the YMCA Christmas Tree Farm in Easton. In addition, she is a Gunston Admission Ambassador. In addition to her academic and cocurricular activities, Ava works at Capsize restaurant in Oxford.

Aaron Sanderson

Aaron has been a member of Science & Engineering Club and Chess Club. He has played Varsity Tennis and Soccer and was named ESIAC all conference player for soccer. Aaron is a talented musician and has combined his talents and service playing for For All Seasons in Easton. For his combined love of performing arts and athletics, Aaron earned the Megan Batdor Award last year. Aaron has also volunteered with St. Anne’s Episcopal Church and he has worked as a lifeguard for Anchor Aquatics and Dreams Landing Community Pool.

Jan Serraviñals

Jan came to Gunston last year and is a dual diploma student with his high school in Spain. While here, Jan has participated in Christian Athletes and Math Club. He has played varsity soccer, futsal, and varsity tennis. In soccer, he served as Captain and earned a Coach’s Award. In tennis, he earned ESIAC All Conference recognition. For his outstanding contributions to Gunston as a new international student, Jan earned the Immersion Award last year. Rounding out his activities, Jan has volunteered with Kent School in Chestertown.

Annabelle Sinatra

Annabelle’s co-curricular activities include participation in Effectrix, Model UN, Gender Spectrum Alliance, Mock Trial and Student DIversity Leaders. She has served as an SDLC Core Facilitator and presenter at Gunston and at regional conferences. Annabelle has also participated with the Gunston Players. For athletics, Annabelle has played pickleball and been a member of the sailing team. Outside of school, Annabelle has been a summer camp counselor with Chester River Yacht and Country Club.

Jonah Smith

Jonah’s co-curricular activities include participation in the Christian Athletes Club and Environmental/Outing Club. He has been a member of Gunston’s Soccer, Basketball and Lacrosse teams. Outside of school, Jonah is involved in Club Lacrosse, Rec Basketball, Eastern Shore Performance Camp and Weightlifting. He volunteers with Youth Recreation Basketball coaching middle school students.

MacKenzie Smith

MacKenzie has participated in Mental Health Awareness Club and Student Diversity Leaders. In SDLC, MacKenzie holds a senior leadership position. MacKenzie serves Gunston as an Admissions and College Ambassador. Her primary athletics activity is dance and she participates in the Dance Protege program with Step 1 Dance 2 in Chester, MD. In addition to her activities and service, MacKenzie has worked outside of school with Step 1 Dance 2, Libbey’s Coastal Kitchen in Stevensville, Body Double Swimwear and Dumer’s Drive in the Ocean City area.

William Stuart

Will’s co-curricular activities include participation in Business & Investment Club and Model UN. He has served as a Gunston Ambassador and outside of Gunston, he has designed, produced, and marketed a t-shirt and plans to donate the proceeds from sales to his former middle school. Will has been an integral member of the Crew team since 9th grade. Will also works outside of Gunston as a sales associate for the CBO Corporation.

Isabella Taylor

Isabella’s clubs are many and include Model UN, Gunston Initiates Volunteer Efforts, Health & Nutrition, Science & Engineering, Mental Health and Math Club. Isabella has served Gunston as an Admission Ambassador and she has volunteered with Christ Church Book Organizer, Georgetown University Hospital and the Waterfowl Festival. Isabella has been a member of the soccer, tennis, and cross country teams. In addition to her co curricular activities, Isabella works as a restaurant host.

Finn Theeke

Finn has been a member of the Outing Club, Academic Team, Film & Screenwriters Club, and Business & Investment Club. He has played varsity tennis and varsity soccer. Finn’s passion and advanced skills in music have allowed him to be a teaching intern in the Music Department this year. Outside school, Finn has been part of a band and has performed at charitable events for For All Seasons. He also plays for Christ Church in Easton. In addition, Finn has volunteered with For All Seasons and Cover Your Chin for Charity. Finn has been employed as an apprentice with Keith’s Tile Works and in restaurant work with Doc’s.

Brielle Tyler

Brielle’s extracurricular activities include Art Curators Club, Film & Screenwriting Club, Student Government, Language & Culture Club, Student Diversity Leaders, and Gunston Initiates Volunteer Efforts. Brielle has played Varsity Soccer, Basketball, and Tennis. Her volunteer service includes being a STEM leader at St. Michaels Middle High School and team manager for Gunston’s Varsity Lacrosse Team. Briell has received academic recognition through The College Board as AP Scholar and as an outstanding African American Student. She also received a merit award in the Mid-Shore Student Art Exhibition. In addition to her academics and cocurricular activities, Brielle works outside of Gunston at Market Street Public House.

Autumn Watson

Autumn has been a member of Environmental Club, Science & Engineering Club, Gunston Initiates Volunteer Efforts, and Student Government where she has been Vice-President of her 11th and 12th grade classes.. Autumn is a member of the Varsity Crew team and outside of school she competes in gymnastics. Autumn’s community involvement includes being a Big Sister for younger gymnasts and volunteering for a number of organizations including Boy Scout Troop 464, Johns Hopkins Health System, Haven Ministries, and Tidewater Gymnastics Center. Autumn also works as a Sales Associate at Aeropostale, an Assistant Camp Counselor at Camp Pecometh, and as a gymnastics coach at Tidewater Gymnastics Center.

Jackson Wood

Jackson has participated in numerous co-curricular activities at Gunston including Business & Investment, Model UN, Chess Club, and Film & Screen Club. Jackson has participated in Crew since 9th grade. Outside of school, he has volunteered for The Waterfowl Festival and the Talbot Optimist Club.

Linze (Alfred) Zhao

Alfred has been a member of the Environmental Club and Technology Club. In his home community in China, Alfred’s volunteer opportunities included helping to plant trees and cleaning museums. In addition, Alfred’s sports participation includes Tennis and Triathlon.
