Aiden Filer is off to Loyola University of Maryland this fall to study biology, bringing with him a standout record of academic and athletic success.
A four-year fixture on the Honor Roll and a member of the National Honor Society, Aiden’s growth as a leader was highlighted during his junior year when he received the Wilkes University Colonel Emerging Leader Award. In addition to Loyola, James was also accepted at James Madison University and Towson University.
His curiosity and technical skills anchored his four-year commitment to the Science & Engineering Club. Aiden was instrumental in the success of the "Stellar Stooges" rocketry team, contributing to a project that gained recognition for its striking Maryland flag aesthetic and precise craftsmanship. The team’s efforts resulted in a rocket that proved its reliability by flying straight and true during field tests.
Beyond the lab, Aiden spent four years as a vital part of the crew team. His perseverance on the water culminated in a victory at the 2025 Maryland State High School Rowing Championships, where he took home gold in the varsity men’s 4. We look forward to seeing his continued success as he joins the community at Loyola. Congratulations, Aiden!
