Congratulations to Alayna Thompson on her commitment to Michigan State University, where she will be studying psychology and criminal justice!

Alayna’s impressive academic record earned her acceptances to several top-tier institutions, including Penn State University Park, Rutgers, the University of Tennessee, and UConn, but we can't wait to see her wear the Green and White in East Lansing. Go Spartans! 💚🤍

A member of the National Honor Society and a frequent high-achiever on the Honor Roll, Alayna’s academic excellence was highlighted when she received the Academic Fellow Award for the Centre College Centre Fellows Program. Her leadership extended far beyond the classroom as a key member of the Mental Health Awareness Club. Alayna was a constant force in Gunston athletics, spending three years on the sailing team and serving as manager for the JV boys basketball, girls varsity lacrosse, and boys varsity lacrosse teams. She proved her mettle on the water as a heavy-weather competitor, helping her squad secure 3rd and 4th place finishes in grueling 15 mph winds at the North East Yacht Club. Whether managing a sideline or racing in Division A for the "Herons 2" boat, Alayna’s dedication was always on display.

We are so proud of Alayna’s versatility and drive, and we know she will do incredible things at MSU. Congratulations, Alayna!
