Huge congratulations to Caroline Thomas, who is officially heading off to Roger Williams University to study Biochemistry this fall!

While she also earned acceptances to Adelphi, Bishop’s, SUNY Purchase, St. Mary’s, Stony Brook, and UVM, we are so excited to see her join the Hawks. Caroline is a member of the National Honor Society and a regular on the Honor Roll, but she will be remembered just as much for her contagious, cheerful energy. Morning meeting announcements definitely won’t be the same without her positivity!

Throughout her four years, Caroline has been an active force on campus. She was a dedicated member of the Debris Literary Magazine, the STARS club, and the Mental Health Awareness club. She was also an integral part of the Gunston Players, taking the stage in "The End of the World (with Prom to Follow)," "The Tell-Tale Heart," and most recently delivering a very enthusiastic performance as Amy in "Little Women."

On the water, Caroline has been a mainstay of the Gunston sailing team for all four years. She has shown incredible versatility and skill as both a skipper and crew, competing in major events like the MASSA Fall Silver Fleet Championship, the MASSA 2026 Team Race Championship, and the prestigious MDISA DC Sail T1 fleet race. Her dedication to the sport is further highlighted by her impressive qualification for the MDISA Fleet Qualifiers for the past two consecutive years.

As she joins her older brother Liam ’23 as a Gunston alum and leaves behind her sister Lily ’28, we know she is going to bring some much-needed light and spirit to the world of STEM. We are so proud of you, Caroline! Go Hawks!!
