Emily Steele is headed to the University of Maryland, College Park this fall to study Public Health on a Pre-Dental track.

A standout scholar-athlete, Emily has balanced a rigorous academic schedule with elite performance on the lacrosse field throughout her four years at Gunston. As a dedicated member of the National Honor Society and a regular on the Honor Roll, her academic achievements were recognized during her junior year when she received the St. Bonaventure University Scholarship. Emily’s impressive academic profile earned her acceptances from several prestigious institutions, including James Madison University, the University of South Carolina, and UMBC, before she ultimately chose to join the Terrapins at College Park.

On the field, Emily has been a vital part of the girls' varsity lacrosse program for all four years, earning ESIAC All-Conference honors in 2024 for her skill and leadership. Her commitment to the Gunston community extends well beyond athletics and academics; she has been an active member of both the GIVE Club and the Environmental Club, demonstrating a consistent dedication to service and sustainability. As Emily moves on to pursue her goals in the dental field, she leaves behind a legacy of hard work, school spirit, and academic excellence. Congratulations, Emily!
