Congratulations to Izabella (Iza) Warot, who is heading back to Poland this fall to attend college in Poznań, where she will major in Economics! Joining the Gunston community all the way from Rokietnica, Poland for her senior year, Iza made an immediate and lasting impression as both a top-tier scholar and a versatile multi-sport athlete.

In the classroom, Iza consistently maintained exceptional academic standing, earning her place on the Grade 12 High Honors List by keeping a rigorous academic average of 93% or above. She also dedicated her time to the community as an active member of both the GIVE Club and the Mental Health Awareness Club. 

Iza jumped right into the Heron athletic culture, competing across three different sports programs in just one year. She hit the water as a competitive crew member for the MDISA Gunston T3 Fleet sailing team in the fall, pivoted to the pool as a key varsity swimmer in the winter, and rounded out her year on the courts with the Varsity Girls Tennis team this spring.  We are so grateful Iza chose to spend her senior year with us by the waterfront, and we wish her all the best as she begins her economics studies in Poznań!
