Congratulations to Sawyer Hightower, who is officially heading to Palm Beach Atlantic University this fall!

Sawyer is continuing a proud family tradition as he prepares for life in Florida, following in the footsteps of his older brothers Drew ’17, Gabe ’20, Ranger ’21, and Cooper ’23. As the last of the Hightower boys to graduate from Gunston, his departure marks the end of a truly special era for our school community.

A deeply faithful person, Sawyer was an active member of the Christian Athletes Club and a steady presence on the Honor Roll. His high school years have been defined by a strong sense of character and a quiet, reliable leadership that his peers and teachers have truly valued. 

Sawyer’s athletic journey has been full of highlights across multiple seasons. After four years with the basketball program—including a standout JV performance before moving up to the Varsity roster for his senior season. He also dedicated three years to the boys' lacrosse team. Most notably, Sawyer served as a senior leader for the Varsity Pickleball team, helping them capture the ESIAC Championship Title this May! We are so proud of everything Sawyer has achieved and wish him the best as he joins his brothers as a Gunston alum. Go Sailfish!
