Congratulations to Sydney Wilson for committing to the University of South Carolina, where she will be majoring in Criminology and Criminal Justice!

While she earned an impressive spot at USC, her dedication also earned her admission to Purdue, Virginia Tech, High Point, Coastal Carolina, and others. As a member of the National Honor Society and a regular on the Honor Roll, Sydney has consistently balanced her academic goals with a deep involvement in our school community.

Sydney’s presence across campus has been felt in so many ways, from her participation in the GIVE Club, Mental Health Awareness, and Environmental Clubs to her creative contributions as a member of the Yearbook Team. On the volleyball court, she showed her team spirit and leadership both as a player for JV and later by serving as the team manager. Whether in the classroom or on the court, Sydney's commitment has been a constant part of her high school years. 
The Gunston tradition runs deep in her family, as Sydney joins her mother, a member of the Class of 1990, as a proud alumna while leaving the legacy in the capable hands of her younger sister, Parker ’27. We are so excited to see all the big things Sydney accomplishes in Columbia and beyond. Go Gamecocks! ❤️🖤🐓
