The Gunston School is pleased to welcome 34 students to the National Honor Society. Each fall, membership to NHS is offered to those students who meet the required standards put forth by the national office in four areas of evaluation: scholarship, leadership, service, and character.

News & Announcements
Twice a year, Gunston declares a “Green and White Day” and students, faculty, and staff divide into two teams and compete in activities that range from canoe races to chopstick competitions, relay races, and more. The event begins with “the sorting” where current Green and White team captains pull names from a hat and all new students and employees are assigned to a team.
The Gunston School recently received three hand-crafted wooden picnic tables from senior Aidan Myers, as part of his Eagle Scout service project. The new tables are situated near the waterfront under a cluster of trees, offering shade and a great place to eat lunch or have outdoor class.
The Gunston School is pleased to announce that seniors Sean Riley and Ethan Nuessle have received letters of commendation from the National Merit Scholarship Program (NMSC).
The GIVE Club is collecting donations for our local food pantry and you can earn Green and White points for your team if you participate. There will be Green and White boxes at Heron House, Middleton and AB from November 16-20. Some suggestions are listed below, but any non-perishable food items are welcome (just remember to check the expiration date!)
