Gunston’s small class sizes and highly personalized approach to teaching enable us to partner effectively with students who have identified learning differences—including dyslexia, ADHD, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, and processing deficits.

We ensure that specialized learning profiles never limit a student's upward potential.

  • Customized Learning Plans: The Assistant Head of School leads our teaching teams in reviewing all formal educational testing documentation. Viable accommodations outlined in these reports are seamlessly integrated into the student’s official school learning plan.
  • A Collaborative Team: The Assistant Head, the Director of College Guidance, the classroom teaching team, academic advisor, and academic coaches work tightly together to ensure accommodations are actively implemented.
  • Standardized Testing Accommodations: Requests for accommodations on College Board (SAT, AP) or ACT exams are managed directly by our Assistant Head of School.
