In architectural design, a "desire path" is a trail worn naturally into the grass because it represents the most organic, meaningful route for someone to get where they want to go—ignoring the rigid, pre-paved concrete sidewalks.

At Gunston, we apply this same philosophy to education. We don't believe in forcing students onto rigid, mass-produced academic "tracks." Instead, our campus is a place where students are encouraged to carve out their own directions based on where their authentic curiosity and talents pull them. While our core curriculum provides an exceptional, universal college-preparatory foundation, no two student schedules look alike.
