Before You Apply

Early Decision is binding, similar to the college process. For families applying for financial aid or merit scholarships, that commitment becomes final once the net tuition is determined. If any part of your application will be late, contact the admissions office before the deadline. If applying for financial aid or a merit scholarship, those forms are due on the same deadline schedule as your application. Notifications will be sent with enrollment decisions.

Step 1:

Applications

The online application has two parts and can be completed in multiple sittings.

  1. Parent/guardian section — includes a $50 application fee due at submission
  2. Student section — completed by the applicant

Step 2:

Recommendations

Three recommendations are required. Recommenders can submit their forms online via a direct link you'll share with them, or by printing and mailing the form to the admissions office. Links to all three forms are available below:

Step 3:

Transcripts

A parent or guardian should contact the student's current school counselor or registrar and request the following be sent to Gunston:

  1. Progress reports from the current and previous school year
  2. Standardized test scores
  3. Attendance record

Transcripts can be emailed to dhenry@gunston.org or mailed to the admissions office. A printed transcript request form is also available to print and hand directly to your school.

Optional Admission Testing

Gunston does not require the SSAT or ISEE for admission, and scores will not be used in the admissions decision. Families who choose to submit scores may do so using Gunston's SSAT code 3271.
