Open House RSVP & Shadow Day Visits

Your Gunston Experience Starts Here.

The best way to experience Gunston is to visit our waterfront 35-acre campus. While we have beautiful photos and videos that can give you a sense of what we are all about, it can't compare to the drive down our tree-lined entrance, standing on the footbridge that connects both sides of campus in the shade of large oak and black walnut trees, or pausing by the waterfront to feel the breeze coming off the Corsica river.

We have restructured our open houses so that we can safely offer this opportunity by adding more sessions with limited attendance.

Available Times:
Session 1:  11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Session 2:  1:00 - 2:30 p.m.

If all sessions are "FULL", please call 410-758-0620, ext 1104, or email David Henry, Director of Admissions, to be placed on a waitlist as last-minute spots sometimes become available, or to schedule a personal tour of the campus.

* In the event of an in-person event being cancelled (for whatever reason), we will offer a virtual option, or reschedule.

Gunston’s open house features a tour of the facilities, a live Q&A with current students, and a special presentation by our Head of School. You’ll have the opportunity to speak one-on-one with students, faculty, and staff members about what makes Gunston so special. Another benefit of an in-person open house is you will see firsthand the comprehensive safety measures we have in place to ensure a safe in-person experience for the entire Gunston community.

Personal Tours & Shadow Day Visits

If you can not attend an open house and would like to schedule a personal tour of the campus, please contact David Henry, Director of Admission at 410-758-0620, ext 1104, dhenry@gunston.org.

Shadow day visits can also be scheduled for potential Gunston applicants. Scheduled throughout the fall and winter as part of the admission’s process, visiting students would have the opportunity to be hosted by a Gunston student, attend two classes, and be able to experience Gunston firsthand - a student interview with the Director of Admission would also take place. We have designed the visits to take place October-April during the following days/time slots:

Mondays:  8:40-10:20,  10:15-11:55,  12:20-2:00

Tues, Thurs, Fri:  8:40-10:15,  10:10-11:45,  12:10-1:25,  1:15-2:30

Wednesdays:  9:40-11:15,  12:10-1:25,  1:15-2:30

Shadow visits are available to any student (grades 8-11) applying for the following school year. Contact the Admissions Office to receive live links to the shadow visit scheduling app, which will provide available dates & times.
