Visual Arts

Step onto the Gunston campus and you’ll notice it right away: artwork is everywhere.

Our visual arts program goes far beyond the average high school elective. We operate under the premise that creative expression is an essential part of the human experience, and we offer university-level depth of media and technique to ensure every student can build a powerful portfolio.

We support both the hobbyist and the serious artist. For those with an identified passion, we offer rigorous AP-level portfolio courses—AP Drawing & Painting and AP 2-D Design (Photography)—providing the expert faculty guidance necessary to prepare for top art colleges and universities.

We provide a diverse range of traditional and modern media, ensuring students develop a well-rounded technical foundation.
