Letter from the Head

Dear Gunston Community:

In late December, newly minted Gunston alumni begin making their way back to campus. Having completed their first semester of college, they reunite with old friends, see mentors and teachers, and tour the classrooms and hallways they once knew. The young men often sport scruffy beards and long hair, but now that they've graduated we don't mind.

GIVE DANCE

The annual GIVE dance will be held on the 20th of January from 8:00 pm- 11:00 pm. This year's theme is Hollywood! The cost is $10 with a school supply donation (valued at ~$5) or $15 without a donation. All proceeds will benefit the Maryland chapter of Guiding Eyes, Wounded Warriors, and Action in Africa. Hope to see everyone there!

From the Advancement Office

Thanks to you, the Heron Annual Fund is off to a wonderful start! To date, we have received over $125,000 in gifts and pledges.

Our goal is $170,000. We rely on the generosity of the entire community to help us close the gap between tuition revenue and the actual cost of a Gunston education.

If you haven't made a tax-deductible gift or a pledge, please visit gunston.org or contact Joanna Pierce at 410.758.0620 ext 1200.

Monthly recurring credit card donations are also available! Pledges must be paid by June 30, 2018.

The Gunston basketball program will be participating in the Coaches vs. Cancer 3-point Challenge throughout the month of January and need your help! Join our team by pledging as little as 25 cents per made 3-point shot throughout the month of January. Worried the Herons will be heating up from downtown? Pledge a flat donation. Every little bit helps as we attempt to raise $1,000 for the American Cancer Society and have a 3-point goal of 45 made shots.

Visit our pledge site: https://pledgeit.org/cvc18-the-gunston-school-md

If you have any additional questions, please contact Director of Athletics, Jon Mellinger.
