Global Awareness Day

Friday, March 2

A wonderful feature of our Global Awareness Day program each year is the International Buffet. This year, the Global Culture Club has planned to have desserts from around the world and we hope to have samplings from Europe, Asia, Africa, North America, and South America. We invite all families to join in by providing a "global dessert" that can be stored and served at room temperature.

If you are able to participate, please send your dessert in with your child on Friday, March 2. We will be collecting the desserts in the gym. Include the name of the dessert, the continent, and the ingredients (allergy restrictions). Recyclable containers are welcomed, but if you send in your personal dishware, please include a label so that we may return the item to you.

As with all celebrations, food makes the event special. We thank you in advance for your contributions.

Seniors and Families,

Senioritis is the scourge of high school seniors throughout the world. Many Gunston students are fiercely fighting it while others have started to succumb. Please be advised that many colleges reserve the right to revoke their admissions acceptance if a student ends their senior year with poor grades. If you're excited about the schools you've been accepted to and want to avoid losing your spot there, stay focused and keep your grades up!

Also, don't forget to email me with any new admission and scholarship decisions you receive!
