Ways to Make Your Impact

Every gift to The Gunston School directly impacts our students, our faculty, and our historic 75-acre waterfront campus. Whether you choose to make an immediate impact today or build a lasting legacy for the future, your investment ensures that our vibrant, century-old mission continues to thrive.

1. Immediate Giving & Commitments

  • Gifts of Cash & Credit: The simplest and most immediate way to support The Heron Annual Fund. We accept checks via mail or secure online donations using Visa, MasterCard, or Discover.
  • Pledges: Maximize your impact by spreading a larger contribution out over a period of up to five years. Installments can be automated as recurring credit card payments or coordinated via electronic reminders.

2. Strategic & Tax-Advantaged Giving

  • Appreciated Securities: Donating stocks or bonds held for more than one year can provide significant tax advantages, allowing you to deduct the fair market value on the day of the transfer.
  • Matching Gifts: Double or triple your impact. Many corporations match their employees' charitable contributions. Check with your Human Resources department to see if your employer participates, or reach out to our office for assistance.

3. Legacy & Planned Giving
