France: Global Sustainability & History
Paris, France is the epicenter of the famous Paris Climate Agreement. It's also home to some of the most unique government and historical sites the world has to offer. Throughout your student’s week-long experience in France, your student will see the best of Paris. They will see quintessential sights like the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre, along with some more unique features like the UNESCO World Headquarters and a private Seine River dinner cruise. After several days in Paris, they'll be off for three days of exploring three important aspects of sustainability and climate action: Manufacturing, Policy, and Agriculture.
South Africa: Life on the Game Reserve
The Greater Makalali Game Reserve is one of South Africa’s premier, privately-owned conservation areas comprising over 61,000 acres. It offers an abundance of wildlife and plays host to over one thousand wild animals including Africa's Big Five: lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and rhinos. Your child will make an important contribution to the “bigger picture” of conservation in Africa—monitoring biodiversity processes and addressing challenges created by the ever-increasing human population, specifically fragmented and isolated habitats. They will also have the opportunity to participate in bush walks and sleep outs within the Reserve.
